What is a butterfly valve
A check valve is a valve that has a circular disc as the opening and closing part and blocks the backflow of the medium by its own weight and the pressure of the medium. It is an automatic valve and is also called a non-return valve, a one-way valve, a reflux valve or an isolation valve. The disc movement mode is divided into a lift check valve and a swing check valve. The check valve is mainly used in pipelines where the medium flows in one direction, and only allows the medium to flow in one direction to prevent accidents caused by the water hammer effect.

Swing check valve:
The valve disc of the swing check valve is disc-shaped and rotates around the rotating shaft of the valve seat channel. Because the channel inside the valve is streamlined, the flow resistance is smaller than that of the lift check valve. It is suitable for large-diameter occasions with low flow rate and infrequent flow changes, but it is not suitable for pulsating flow. Its sealing performance is not as good as the lift check valve. Swing check valves are divided into single-disc type, double-disc type and multi-disc type. These three forms are mainly divided according to the valve diameter. The purpose is to prevent the medium from stopping or backflowing and weakening the hydraulic impact.
Lift check valve:
A check valve whose valve disc slides along the vertical center line of the valve body. The lift check valve can only be installed on a horizontal pipe. The valve disc on the high-pressure small-diameter check valve can be a ball. The valve body shape of the lift check valve is the same as that of the stop valve (which can be used with the stop valve), so its fluid resistance coefficient is larger. Its structure is similar to that of the stop valve, and the valve body and valve disc are the same as those of the stop valve. The upper part of the valve disc and the lower part of the valve cover are processed with guide sleeves. The valve disc guide sleeve can be freely raised and lowered in the valve guide sleeve. When the medium flows downstream, the valve disc is opened by the thrust of the medium. When the medium stops flowing, the valve disc falls on the valve seat by self-sagg, which prevents the medium from flowing back. The medium inlet and outlet channels of the straight-through lifting check valve are perpendicular to the direction of the valve seat channel; the medium inlet and outlet channels of the vertical lifting check valve are the same as the direction of the valve seat channel, and its flow resistance is smaller than that of the straight-through type.
Disc check valve:
A check valve in which the disc rotates around the pin shaft in the valve seat. The disc check valve has a simple structure and can only be installed on horizontal pipes, and its sealing performance is poor.
Pipeline check valve:
A valve in which the disc slides along the center line of the valve body. The pipeline check valve is a new type of valve. It is small in size, light in weight, and has good processing technology. It is one of the development directions of the check valve. However, the fluid resistance coefficient is slightly larger than that of the swing check valve.
Compression check valve: This valve is used as a boiler feed water and steam cut-off valve. It has the combined functions of a lift check valve and a stop valve or angle valve. In addition, there are some check valves that are not suitable for pump outlet installation, such as bottom valves, spring-loaded check valves, and Y-type check valves.
